Trekking It consists of travelling across the mountains of the region on foot. For non experts it is advisable to hire a specialized guide because the trails are sometimes not well signed and it is very easy to get lost. We count on a wide range of circuits, varying in difficulty and length.

Mountain Bike Ecotourism is a kind of activity that everyone can easily do. You only need a minimum of training and to be willing to enjoy a healthy sport in a natural environment. In the itineraries you alternatively see nice paths and beautiful views. The outings are organized according to different difficulty levels
Easy (beginners) for people who can ride a bicycle without gears, with a normal physical state
Medium (advanced) perfect command of a bicycle with gears and medium training.
Difficult (experts) good training and previous mountain bike experience in the mountain.
The service includes bicycle, helmet, canteen, guide, repair kit, first aid kit communication and transfer kit. The places to cover vary according to the difficulty of the outing. The most frequently chosen are Península San Pedro, Circuito Chico, Colonia Suiza y Casa de Piedra.

Rafting Lower Manso River – CLASS 2/3 – This tour begins with the descent of Manso River. This region is surrounded by high peaks, dense vegetation and a wide variety of birds that inhabit National Park Nahuel Huapi. Halfway through this tour, we’ll have lunch on a paradise-like beach. It consists of different kind of breads, cold cuts and cheeses, fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits; to drink, fruit juice or mineral water. At this point, the river turns out more exciting, running the rapids until you reach the confluence of Villegas River where the van will be waiting for us to return to Bariloche.
You don’t need previous experience and it is ideal for beginners who want to have an experience of the activity

Rafting Manso River to the frontier – CLASS 3/4 – This tour begins in Villegas River when you take the turn to El Manso town, skirt the river and reach the Johns’ ranch base camp where you will have breakfast while preparations for the activity are being made. At the start of the descent of the river, the serenity of the course allows you to enjoy the scenery. After that, the river gets more impetuous, running exciting rapids which surround narrow canyons until you reach the border with Chile in the middle of the range of the Andes. Right here modern 4x4 vehicles will take us back to the ranch house where the settlers will be waiting for us with a delicious country barbecue.
To engage in this activity, you are required good physical condition and some previous experience.

Neumeyer Shelter The transfer, through a beautiful valley until reaching Neumeyer shelter, is done by 4x4 vehicles. From there you may cover many different circuits along trails of botanic interpretation in Challhuaco valley. The options are the following:
Full day: it starts with a 1 1/2hours walk to Laguna verde. Once back to Neumeyer shelter, you’ll enjoy a tasty country lunch. In the afternoon you’ll have everything ready to enjoy sledging and playing in the snow (Nordic ski optional)
Half day: a shorter walk to enjoy the quiet of the forest. After tea,
we return to Bariloche.

Horse riding
Equestrian Club Tom Wesley
Cerro Campanario: You ride from the field towards Mount Campanario, passing by a “Tambo” (dairy) built at the turn of the century by the first settlers. Riding through the trails that go into a stunning coihue forest, you go up to the top of the hill. Then you start going down the hillside to find the first panoramic view of El Trébol lagoon, Moreno Lake, Bella Vista, Goye, López y Capilla hills. Going round the hill, you reach Nahuel Huapi Lake lookout to enter then into a leafy forest that leads back to the field.
Moreno Lake: You cover a sparsely populated area and taking side paths, you reach the east head of Moreno Lake. You go on riding along the beach up to the mouth of Casa de Piedra River. From the beach you can enjoy beautiful wide views towards López, Capilla and Bella Vista hills.
The offered options are carried out with experienced guides.
Fortin Chacabuco Ranch
The ranch is located 30 km from San Carlos de Bariloche. It has 5,000 hectares mainly devoted to farming and the breeding and improvement of sheep. The origins date back to 1883 when General Villegas ordered the building of Fort Chacabuco (at the foot of the hill now called Cerro Fortin) in the struggle against the natives of the region.
The ranch has excellent horses suitable for all kinds of riding. The ranch guides will show us panoramic views of Bariloche and the regional flora and fauna. The rides take place in the form of ½ day, including a snack; or else, full day with lunch (barbecue) included. Aoniken-Patagonia advises you to wear comfortable footwear, jeans, warm jacket, cap or hat, and sunscreen.

Fly fishing The fishing season in Nahuel Huapi National Park starts mid November and ends in May. This kind of fishing takes place on the basis of compulsory return, having restrictions according to the place. Species that inhabit our waters are Rainbow Trout, Brown trout and Brook Trout (introduced) and the Perch (native). A fishing license is required and not included in rate.
½ day outings include: guide, transportation, snack, soft drinks and complete kit.
Full day outings include the above mentioned items plus lunch. Places for this activity depend on the length of the outing, being the most frequently chosen Limay River, Gutiérrez Lake, Guillelmo Lake and Moreno Lake, among others.

Boat Fishing – Trolling – Trips The fishing season in Nahuel Huapi National Park starts mid November and ends in May. This kind of fishing takes place on the basis of compulsory return, having restrictions according to the place. Species that inhabit our waters are Rainbow Trout, Brown trout and Brook Trout (introduced) and the Perch (native). A fishing license is required and not included in rate. For this kind of fishing, Aoniken-Patagonia, can hire different vessels. The choice will depend on where you want to fish and the amount of people involved
Our team in charge of lake activities has a boat available for 4. The boat includes the whole necessary equipment to carry out any fishing activity or trip. Our trilingual captain will guide you to remote and wonderful places and you’ll be able to contemplate the magnificence of the lake and the virgin nature at its best.
You will be offered a gourmet picnic or a tempting “asado” (barbecue) with regional wines or traditional beers included, according to the departure time.
This is an ideal activity for families since you can perfectly complement the boat trip to fishing.

Kayak This activity is mainly practised in Moreno or Gutierrez Lake.
No previous experience is required, although you have to be able to swim and also need some physical condition suitable for the activity. And also be willing to live this adventure and enjoy marvellous sceneries
